Composting toilets

Composting is the natural process of recycling biological matter. It reycyles the nutrients to make compost.Compost makes soil fertile for growing crops and plants. Our faeces can be composted using a composting toilet.A conventional toilet wastes the faeces and is bad for the environment. It uses a lot of water.Lot of chemical are used in cleaning these toilet which has a role in polluting water bodies, while composting toilets force us to use natural cleaning agents.Conventinal toilets usually require a sewage system to work. This requires long pipelines which can leak. There are 3 types of composting toilets,e.g,Self cointained,Central,Portable.Self cointained toilets don't require any outside connection Central flush like a conventional toilets.Portable are ideal for travel as the can be moved.

Velomobile

A velomobile is a recumbent biycle with an Aerodynamic shell. It can be electrically assisted. Most velomobile are not made for practical use and are made for speed and to make world records. These velomobiles are very aerodynamic and have to be used in a sleeping position. Most of these velomobile are not produced and sold commercial.Velomobile is an environmentally friendly mode of  transportation as you have to pedal.A practical electrically assisted velomobile would provide protection from the elements at the same time promote bicycling short distances. This will make the user healthier. Some velomobile also have cargo spaces to carry cargo such as groceries. They have a motor to provide throttle and electrical assistance.Overall a velomobile is a good option for transportation.

Energy

Image
Definition of energy Energy is something that is capable of doing work.Energy Cabot be created or destroyed, it can only be transfered.Work is defined as transfer of energy. Types of energy There are two types of energy: Potential energy It is stored energy in an object, that is capable of doing work and is stagnant. Chemical potential energy It is a form of potential energy that can be absorbed or released during a chemical reaction or phase transition. For example wood, food, petroleum. Elastic potential energy It is the that is released It is energy stored as a result of applying force to deform an elastic object. The energy is stored until the force is removed and object springs back to its original shape work in process. For example, bowstring ,catapult Gravitational potential energy It represents the potential an object has to do work as a result of being located at a particular position .For examples a satellite orbiting earth , a plane or...

A Monologue by Albert Einstein

A Monologue by Albert Einstein Arranged by Hrishikesh Bansal, Checkpoint 1B I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious. School failed me, and I failed the school. It bored me. The teachers behaved like Feldwebel (sergeants). I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. What I hated most was the competitive system there, and especially sports. Because of this, I wasn’t worth anything, and several times they suggested I leave. The most important tool of the theoretical physicist is his wastebasket. In science, moreover, the work of the individual is so bound up with that of his scientific predecessors and contemporaries that it appears almost as an impersonal product of his generation Quantum mechanics is certainly imposing. But an inner voice tells me that it is not yet the real thing. The theory says a lot, but does not really bring us any closer to the secret of the “old one.” I, at any rate, am convinced that He ...

Human influence to the environment

Image
What is the environment ? The natural environment consists of living and nonliving things which occur naturally. In the environment living and nonliving things affect each other. It's the surrounding area of an organism. With respect to us, the environment of the Earth consists of all living things like plants, animals, microorganisms, fungi and non-living things like rocks, minerals, air, water etc. It includes the  oceans lakes, atmosphere, mountains, forests etc. What do we get from the environment ? The environment  sustains all life on Earth. It gives us water, clothing,  food and shelter. Food: Vegetables, Fruits, Milk etc Water: Streams, Lakes, Rains Shelter: Houses made of mud, wood etc Minerals and Elements for making computers, utensils etc Clothing from plants like cotton Why does environment need our help? Humans have damaged the environment by wasting resources, cutting forests, emission of greenhouse...
