Are video games a bad medium or there are bad video games?

Video games are one of the most controversial mediums of expression and entertainment in the real  world. All well-wishers are skeptical about video games. This is because of  bad content created on the medium. If a medium has some bad content , does it mean it's all bad? I call the that video game bad which develops bad values and does not  build any skill in real life. 

The usual impression of a video game is of violence and an adrenaline rush,  but the medium has delivered lot of other games that develop skills and are not violent. These games are usually concerned about simulation, strategy, building, history and many more. 

Each medium can be considered to have a  better adversary. For example,  drama con be considered  better for us than movies as movies are not natural and drama is completely natural. Playing board games and playing physical sports  is always better than playing video games,  but there is a good side of every coin. If  the balance is right, playing video games can be heavily beneficial. Unfortunately,  modern parents are not able to channelize this gaming potential. This may be because of the total disinterest or a bad impression of gaming. It is a almost impossible to regulate mobile gaming,  mostly all of them just provide thrill or a expression of violence,  both of which  don't develop good skills.Thrill can be even good,  if coupled with a skill but violence is always bad for kids and maybe bad for some adults.  Mobile games are the predominant form of gaming which is cheap to get and use. A console or gaming PC is expensive,   but can provide better games. According to me a PC is the least used platform for video games in my friend circle.,  but is best for skill developing games. Most kinds of video games are not readily available on most platforms except  PCs. For example: strategy,simulation,history,realism based games  are not available except on a  PC or work better. This does not mean that such games are not available on other platforms, but less available or not optimized  for playing on the Platform. Some good places to get video game on PC are  Steam and  Origin.

Parents should not bar gaming in extreme situations but adapt and play  little bit to understand their child's gaming choices and why is he or her getting addicted the medium and make better gaming choices that are not as harmful to the brain.If the gaming is excessive implement parental control which is available on windows 10 or the platform used.Having knowledge or information on gaming will help.
